Concert Preview: SOAK at the Middle East Upstairs on July 10th

Rising Irish singer-songwriter Bridie Monds-Watson, better known as SOAK, is playing a show at the Middle East Upstairs on July 10th, following the release of her debut album, "Before We Forgot How To Dream."[youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VgaRm9j8SQI&w=560&h=315]Throughout the album, SOAK's ethereal voice floats on top of mellow, intricate instrumentation that reminds me of overcast days spent wrapped in a blanket. Her lyrics are relatable, and touch on her coming of age, fading familial connections, and past breakups, without feeling cliché. We're looking forward to seeing her play in Boston for the very first time!
