Constantly reinventing his sound, eccentric singer, songwriter, rapper, producer, comedian, and scooter extraordinaire Oliver Tree is back with his new album Cowboy Tears. Taking his talents to the world of the Wild West, Oliver combines elements of country, pop, and rock on this project while putting his own alternative twist on it. Replacing his bowl cut with a blonde mullet and now donning a cowboy hat and boots, his aesthetic has changed to match his new sound.

Originally finding success after his breakout single “When I’m Down” in 2017, Tree’s upward trajectory was set in stone. He went on to release one of his biggest songs, “Alien Boy” in 2018 on his Alien Boy EP. An infectiously catchy and fun alternative pop song that shows off Tree’s unique vocals, it is no surprise that it got as popular as it did. After releasing his second EP, Do You Feel Me? in 2019, Tree went on to release his debut studio album Ugly Is Beautiful in 2020, which saw him creatively mix alternative rock, pop, and hip-hop to prove that he was more than just a comedian with funny online antics.

Tree certainly knows how to entertain, as seen by his social media presence, so his performance is sure to be an enjoyable and elaborate one. I saw a video of him doing a scooter trick on stage, so I am very excited to see what other fun shenanigans happen at the concert. Make sure to catch Oliver Tree and his larger-than-life personality at House of Blues in Boston on March 11th with 347aidan and Sueco!
