PREVIEW: Tame Impala at TD Garden on 3/16

There are fewer bigger indie rock success stories of the 2010s than Tame Impala. Arguably responsible for resuscitating psychedelic rock for a new generation, Tame Impala, the project of multi-instrumentalist Kevin Parker, are one of the most influential and consistently excellent bands around. I had the pleasure of seeing them in 2016, and that show still stands in my mind as one of the best I’ve ever been to.

Since bursting onto the scene with 2010’s Innerspeaker, solidifying their place amongst indie rock stardom with 2012’s Lonerism and 2015’s now classic Currents, Tame Impala released The Slow Rush in 2020. The album proves that a decade on from the project's debut, Parker still has that magic touch – the music is lush, intergalactic, and undeniably groovy, a testament to Kevin Parker’s impeccable perfectionism. A swirling maximal masterpiece drowned out in echo and reverb, if you will.

Tickets are still available for Tame Impala’s upcoming show at the TD Garden on March 16th – this definitely isn’t a show you’ll want to miss!
